Australia Post Collect vs Store Pickup + Delivery (CR)for Shopify (2026)
Australia Post Collect and Store Pickup + Delivery (CR) both cater to the 'Delivery and pickup' category on Shopify, but serve fundamentally different purposes and target different merchant profiles. Australia Post Collect focuses exclusively on integrating Australia Post's 'Collect' service, allowing customers to pick up parcels from post offices and postal lockers. Its value proposition centers on offering convenient out-of-home delivery options through the Australia Post network, reducing failed deliveries for merchants already using Australia Post's eParcel service. In contrast, Store Pickup + Delivery (CR) provides a more general and flexible local fulfillment solution, encompassing both store pickup and local delivery scheduling. It empowers merchants to manage their own pickup and delivery logistics, offering features like time slot management, zip code-based delivery, and multi-location support.

Our Verdict
If you're an Australian business already using Australia Post's eParcel service and want to provide customers with convenient Australia Post collection points as an additional delivery option, Australia Post Collect is the straightforward choice. Its integration with the Australia Post network simplifies the process. However, for businesses seeking a more comprehensive and flexible local fulfillment solution encompassing both store pickup and local delivery, especially those with multiple locations or specific scheduling needs, Store Pickup + Delivery (CR) is the superior option. Its advanced features and positive user feedback (indicated by the high review count) make it a more robust solution for managing complex local fulfillment operations, regardless of relying on Australia Post’s services.
