Avada Boost Sales Trust Badges vs Formify: custom checkout formsfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Avada Boost Sales Trust Badges and Formify: custom checkout forms both target Shopify merchants seeking to improve their online store's performance, but they do so through fundamentally different approaches. Avada focuses on enhancing trust and creating a sense of urgency through sales notifications, trust badges, and free shipping bars. This aims to increase conversions by leveraging social proof and addressing customer concerns about security and reliability. Formify, on the other hand, centers on optimizing the checkout process itself by allowing merchants to customize checkout forms to gather specific information and provide a more personalized customer experience. The primary distinction lies in their focus: Avada is conversion-oriented, aiming to persuade hesitant shoppers, while Formify is data-collection and personalization-oriented, seeking to improve the post-add-to-cart experience. Avada caters to a broader audience seeking general sales boosts, whereas Formify serves merchants needing specific customer data for order fulfillment, support, or targeted marketing. While both apps share the 'Notifications' category on Shopify, their notification mechanisms differ significantly; Avada uses pop-ups and bars to influence purchasing decisions, whereas Formify uses forms to collect information during checkout. Avada boasts a significantly higher number of reviews, indicating a larger user base and potentially greater market adoption.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on immediately boosting sales through social proof and building trust, Avada Boost Sales Trust Badges appears to be the stronger choice due to its established user base and proven effectiveness in increasing conversion rates. Its features are geared towards addressing common customer hesitations and motivating purchases.
However, if a merchant requires specific customer data for order fulfillment, personalization, or targeted marketing, Formify: custom checkout forms offers a more specialized solution. The ability to create custom checkout forms allows for gathering essential information and tailoring the customer experience, making it ideal for businesses with unique operational needs. While it has fewer reviews, the focus on checkout optimization can significantly improve customer satisfaction and streamline internal processes for the right business.
Common Questions
Which app is better for a brand new store?
Avada Boost Sales Trust Badges is likely a better initial investment for a new store as it helps build trust and encourages initial sales. Formify might be more useful after establishing a customer base and identifying specific data needs.
Does either app integrate with email marketing platforms?
The descriptions don't explicitly state email marketing integration. Further research or app documentation review is needed to confirm such integrations for either app.
Is one app easier to set up and use than the other?
Formify explicitly mentions a drag-and-drop interface, suggesting ease of use. Avada's description implies a relatively simple setup, but lacks the explicit mention of a visual builder. Without further information, Formify might have a slight edge in ease of use.
Which app provides more customization options?
Avada provides customisation options to match the brand identity. Formify provides custmisation options for the checkout forms. The better customization options depends on what merchant needs.
If I use both apps, will they conflict with each other?
There's no inherent conflict implied by the descriptions. However, excessive use of pop-ups (from Avada) alongside a lengthy checkout form (from Formify) could negatively impact the user experience. Careful consideration of the overall customer journey is necessary.
