Avada Boost Sales Trust Badges vs Kaching Custom Cursorfor Shopify (2026)
Avada Boost Sales Trust Badges and Kaching Custom Cursor are both Shopify apps categorized under "Design elements", but they serve vastly different purposes and target distinct merchant needs. Avada focuses on conversion rate optimization (CRO) through trust-building and social proof, boasting a significant user base with over 1600 reviews. Kaching, on the other hand, is a personalization tool aimed at enhancing brand identity through custom cursors, with a considerably smaller user base and fewer reviews. Their primary difference lies in their core function: Avada seeks to directly increase sales, while Kaching prioritizes creating a memorable and unique brand experience. Avada aims to create a sense of urgency and credibility through real-time sales notifications, trust badges, and free shipping bar notifications. This positions it as a sales-oriented tool. Kaching offers aesthetic customization, potentially benefiting brands seeking a playful or distinctive online presence. The choice between the two depends largely on the merchant's immediate goals: increasing revenue versus bolstering brand recognition through a small detail such as the website's cursor. Avada emphasizes demonstrable ROI, while Kaching focuses on aesthetic appeal.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with increasing sales conversions and building customer trust through social proof, Avada Boost Sales Trust Badges is the clear choice. Its features directly address these needs with tools such as trust badges and sales popups. The higher number of reviews also suggests a more mature and widely adopted product. Kaching Custom Cursor is better suited for merchants who are heavily invested in creating a unique and memorable brand experience, and who believe that small details like a custom cursor contribute significantly to that goal. However, given its lower review count, it may be a less proven solution.
Ultimately, the "better" app depends on the specific priorities of the store owner. If immediate sales growth is paramount, Avada offers a more direct path. If brand building and a memorable online presence are the main objectives, then Kaching might be more appealing. Merchants should also consider conducting A/B tests to determine which app yields a better return on investment based on their specific audience and product offerings.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Based on the feature sets, Kaching Custom Cursor likely offers a simpler setup process, requiring users to select or upload a cursor. Avada, with its multiple features and customization options, might require more configuration to align with brand identity.
Which app provides a better ROI?
Avada Boost Sales Trust Badges is designed to directly impact sales conversions, making it easier to track and measure ROI. Kaching's impact on ROI is more indirect and harder to quantify, as it relates to brand perception and memorability. A/B testing is crucial to determining if Kaching contributes to higher sales in the long run.
Does Avada affect my website's loading speed?
The description does not explicitly mention loading speed, but sales popup features and custom badge loading can affect loading speeds. Users should monitor page performance after installing and configuring all features to ensure optimal site performance.
Can both apps work together on the same store?
Yes, both apps can function on the same store, as they address different aspects of the user experience. Avada works on sales conversions; Kaching focuses on visual aesthetics. However, merchants should ensure that both apps integrate seamlessly without conflicting with each other or creating a cluttered user experience.
Which app offers more customization options?
Avada Boost Sales Trust Badges appears to offer broader customization options, allowing users to design trust badges, modify sales popups, and tailor the Free Shipping Bar to match their branding. Kaching Custom Cursor primarily focuses on selecting or uploading cursor designs, offering narrower customization capabilities.
