Avada Boost Sales Trust Badges vs YipSMS: Text Marketingfor Shopify (2026)
Avada Boost Sales Trust Badges and YipSMS: Text Marketing both aim to boost sales for Shopify merchants using notifications, but their approaches differ significantly. Avada Boost Sales focuses on on-site conversion rate optimization using trust badges, sales popups, and free shipping bars to create urgency and social proof. It's designed for merchants wanting to improve the immediate shopping experience and build customer confidence directly on their website. YipSMS, conversely, centers on off-site engagement through SMS marketing. It targets merchants who want to reach customers directly via text messages for promotions, abandoned cart recovery, shipping updates, and subscriber list building. The key difference lies in their notification channels: Avada Boost Sales utilizes on-site notifications, while YipSMS leverages SMS. Avada Boost Sales appeals to merchants seeking to optimize the existing website visitor experience. YipSMS caters to those aiming to proactively engage customers outside of their store through text marketing, utilizing strategies like abandoned cart recovery and promotions. Both apps claim to improve sales, but Avada Boost Sales does so through creating a better on-site experience, while YipSMS does so via direct customer communication.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with immediately optimizing their website's conversion rate by building trust and creating urgency, Avada Boost Sales Trust Badges is likely the better choice. The large number of positive reviews suggests it effectively delivers on its promise of boosting sales through on-site elements. However, for merchants wanting to actively engage customers through direct SMS marketing, particularly for abandoned cart recovery and promotional campaigns, YipSMS: Text Marketing is the more appropriate solution. While it has significantly fewer reviews, its focus on text-based communication caters to a different need.
Ultimately, the best choice depends on the merchant's marketing strategy. If the goal is to improve the current visitor's experience, Avada is ideal. If the goal is to re-engage potentially lost customers or conduct direct SMS campaigns, YipSMS is the better fit.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on their descriptions, YipSMS emphasizes a simple setup, claiming you can start texting in 5 minutes, and offering 'quick 1 button Automation setup.' Avada Boost Sales doesn't explicitly mention ease of use as a primary benefit, so YipSMS appears potentially easier to get started with.
Which app is better for a brand-new Shopify store?
Avada Boost Sales might be more immediately beneficial for a brand-new store, as it focuses on converting existing traffic. Since a new store might not have a large customer base for SMS marketing, focusing on optimizing the on-site experience first could be more effective. As the store grows, YipSMS could be added to the marketing mix.
Which app is better for abandoned cart recovery?
YipSMS: Text Marketing is specifically designed with abandoned cart recovery as a core feature, using automated text messages to re-engage customers. Avada Boost Sales doesn't directly address abandoned cart recovery, focusing instead on preventing cart abandonment through on-site cues.
If I only have a limited budget, which app should I choose?
Without pricing information, it's impossible to say definitively. However, consider the cost-benefit. Avada Boost Sales aims to improve the conversion rate of existing traffic, potentially yielding immediate returns if your website already attracts visitors. YipSMS requires building a subscriber list and incurring SMS costs, so consider those factors when making your decision if budget is a primary factor.
Which app provides more detailed analytics?
YipSMS explicitly states you can 'Review the performance of your SMS messages, SMS campaigns, and SMS automation.' Avada Boost Sales doesn't detail analytics features, suggesting YipSMS likely offers more robust performance tracking specifically related to its SMS campaigns.
