Our Verdict
The choice between Avada GDPR Cookies Consent and STKY ‑ Sticky Add To Cart Bar depends entirely on a merchant's priorities. If legal compliance and adherence to international privacy regulations are paramount, especially if the business operates in or caters to customers in regions governed by GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws, Avada GDPR Cookies Consent is the clear choice. Its feature set specifically addresses these needs.
On the other hand, if a merchant's primary focus is on boosting sales, improving conversion rates, and maximizing average order value through user experience enhancements, STKY ‑ Sticky Add To Cart Bar is the better option. Its features like sticky add-to-cart buttons, countdown timers, and upsell opportunities are designed to increase revenue. Merchants should recognize they may need *both* if they prioritize both legal compliance and sales optimization.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
The ease of use likely depends on the user's technical expertise. Avada may require some understanding of legal requirements related to cookies and data privacy. STKY's user interface is likely geared toward ease of sales optimization.
Does Avada GDPR Cookies Consent directly increase sales?
Indirectly, yes. By building trust through transparency and compliance, Avada can foster a more positive customer experience, which can lead to increased sales in the long run. However, it doesn't directly implement sales-boosting features like STKY.
Can STKY help with GDPR compliance?
No, STKY is not designed for GDPR compliance. It primarily focuses on improving the user experience and increasing sales through sticky carts, quick buy buttons, and similar features.
Are both apps compatible with all Shopify themes?
Avada GDPR Cookies Consent states compatibility with Online Store 2.0, suggesting good compatibility with modern themes. STKY's compatibility should also be broad, but testing with specific themes is always recommended.

If the store primarily focuses on rapid sales growth and immediate revenue, STKY may be prioritized. Ideally, both are useful in the long term.
