Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with controlling order quantities, preventing bulk purchases, and enforcing minimum order quantities (MOQ), Avada Order Limit Quantity MOQ is the better choice. Its strength lies in its granular control over order limits based on diverse criteria like product, variant, and customer tag, alongside checkout validation rules. The perfect rating, despite fewer reviews than B2B Wholesale Hub, suggests strong satisfaction with its targeted features.
However, for merchants looking to establish a robust wholesale program alongside their B2C operations, B2B Wholesale Hub is the recommended app. It offers a wider suite of B2B-specific features, including customer segmentation, volume discounts, net payment terms, and quick order forms. The higher number of reviews points to broader adoption and a track record of serving a larger user base effectively. B2B Wholesale Hub provides a more complete solution for comprehensive wholesale management.
Common Questions
Which app is better for preventing bots from bulk buying limited edition items?
Avada Order Limit Quantity MOQ, with its focus on repurchase limits and checkout validation rules, offers more direct tools for preventing bulk buying, including those from bots. While B2B Wholesale Hub provides volume discounts, it's not specifically designed to limit the total quantity a customer can purchase overall.
Can I use both apps together?
It's *possible* but potentially redundant and conflicting. B2B Wholesale Hub might already cover some basic MOQ functionality. Evaluate overlap carefully before implementing both to avoid confusion for your customers. Start with one, and only add the other if there are gaps.
Does Avada Order Limit Quantity MOQ support tiered pricing like B2B Wholesale Hub?
No, Avada Order Limit Quantity MOQ is primarily focused on setting minimum and maximum order quantities. It does not inherently include tiered pricing or volume discount features. B2B Wholesale Hub is designed to allow for tiering through its volume discount functionality.
Which app is easier to set up and configure?
Based on the descriptions, Avada Order Limit Quantity MOQ claims 'no code required' and a focus on simple customization. This suggests potentially easier setup and configuration, especially for merchants without coding experience. B2B Wholesale Hub is likely more complex due to its wider range of features.
Which app is a better long-term investment if I'm planning to expand into wholesale later?
If a long-term goal is expanding into wholesale, B2B Wholesale Hub is the better choice. While Avada can control quantities, it doesn't provide the essential B2B features like net terms, customer segmentation for pricing, and quick order forms necessary for successful wholesale operations. B2B Wholesale Hub provides a foundation for future growth in the wholesale market.
