Our Verdict
For merchants struggling with high Return to Origin (RTO) rates due to Cash on Delivery orders, Shiprocket: Smart COD is the more appropriate choice. Its features directly address this issue by allowing merchants to block potentially fraudulent COD orders and customize COD options. However, if a merchant's primary need is to control order quantities, enforce minimum or maximum order limits, cater to wholesale customers with specific order requirements, or prevent unwanted bulk purchases, then Avada Order Limit Quantity MOQ is the better solution. The higher rating and larger number of reviews for Avada further suggest a higher degree of user satisfaction and reliability.
In summary, Shiprocket: Smart COD is a niche solution for a specific payment-related problem, while Avada Order Limit Quantity MOQ offers a broader set of features for managing order quantities and optimizing sales based on various parameters. The choice between the two depends heavily on the specific pain points and business requirements of the merchant.
Common Questions
Which app is better for preventing fraudulent orders?
Both apps offer features to prevent fraud, but in different ways. Avada focuses on preventing bulk purchases and repurchase attempts through checkout validation, while Shiprocket specifically targets fraudulent Cash on Delivery (COD) orders by allowing merchants to block them based on predefined criteria.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Both apps claim to be easy to set up and use. Avada highlights its "no code required" customization, while Shiprocket emphasizes a "quick setup" in 60 seconds. Ultimately, ease of use depends on the merchant's technical skills and the complexity of the rules they want to implement.
Can Avada Order Limit Quantity MOQ help with wholesale orders?
Yes, Avada is explicitly designed to help manage wholesale orders by allowing merchants to set order limits based on customer tags and contact methods, which is particularly useful for providing quotes to wholesale customers.
Does Shiprocket: Smart COD work with all shipping and payment methods?
The description states that Shiprocket allows you to "Customise COD based on shipping and payment methods," implying compatibility with various methods, but it does not specify which ones are supported. Merchants should verify compatibility with their specific setup before installing.
If I need both order quantity limits and COD optimization, should I use both apps?
Potentially, yes. Because the apps address separate problems, a merchant experiencing issues with both order quantities and COD fraud may need to use both. Before doing so, the merchant should evaluate the potential for conflicts and ensure that the apps integrate smoothly with their existing Shopify setup and other installed apps.
