Avasam vs MyDesigns: Print on Demandfor Shopify (2026)
Avasam and MyDesigns: Print on Demand both offer sourcing options for Shopify merchants, but they cater to fundamentally different business models. Avasam positions itself as a multi-channel dropshipping marketplace specializing in UK/USA-based suppliers. Its strength lies in automating the traditional dropshipping process, handling order fulfillment, payments, and returns. The target audience is merchants seeking a hands-off approach to sourcing and fulfillment, focusing on readily available products from verified local suppliers. It handles sourcing to customer support, providing a turnkey solution. MyDesigns, on the other hand, is focused on Print on Demand (POD) businesses, enabling users to create, publish, sell, and fulfill custom products. Its strength is in providing tools for design creation, mockup generation, and scalable production of personalized items. The critical distinction is that Avasam offers pre-designed products from existing suppliers, while MyDesigns empowers merchants to offer entirely custom products. MyDesigns requires the merchant to be involved in the design process or source designs externally. Avasam provides a broader range of automated services, including supplier verification and customer support, which are absent from MyDesigns' feature set. MyDesigns emphasizes creative control and scalability in personalized product offerings, while Avasam stresses ease of use and automation in dropshipping readily available products.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a hands-off, automated dropshipping solution focusing on readily available products from UK/USA suppliers, Avasam is the better choice. Its emphasis on supplier verification and automated order processing offers a streamlined experience. However, the extremely low number of reviews (2) warrants caution and further investigation into user experiences before making a definitive decision.
For merchants aiming to build a brand around custom or personalized products and willing to invest time in design and marketing, MyDesigns is the superior option. Its tools for mockup generation and bulk publishing are invaluable for scaling a Print on Demand business. The higher number of reviews (29) suggests a more established user base, although more research should still be done before making a decision.
