Avis Product Options, Variants vs CPB ‑ Custom Product Builderfor Shopify (2026)
Avis Product Options, Variants and CPB ‑ Custom Product Builder both cater to Shopify merchants needing custom product capabilities, but they target different needs. Avis Product Options, Variants, with a perfect 5-star rating and a large number of reviews (1366), suggests a strong focus on user-friendliness and broad appeal, likely excelling at basic to intermediate product customization needs. CPB ‑ Custom Product Builder, while having a slightly lower rating (4.5/5) and fewer reviews (98), appears to be aimed at merchants requiring highly advanced and complex product customization options, including features like conditional logic, SKU construction, advanced pricing formulas, file uploads, and real-time previews. The core difference lies in the depth of customization offered. Avis likely provides straightforward options and variants, suitable for products with simple variations. CPB is positioned for businesses selling 'Build Your Own Product' experiences, handling thousands of variant permutations and intricate configurations, including printable areas for various printing methods. CPB's API integration suggests it caters to larger businesses with complex workflows needing external system connectivity, whereas Avis might be a better fit for smaller to medium-sized businesses focused on ease of use and quick setup.
