Avis Product Options, Variants vs Hubify Product Custom Optionsfor Shopify (2026)
Avis Product Options, Variants and Hubify Product Custom Options both aim to provide Shopify merchants with the ability to offer customizable products. Avis, with its overwhelmingly positive rating (5/5) based on a substantial number of reviews (1366), appears to be a well-established and trusted solution within the Shopify ecosystem. Its widespread adoption suggests a robust feature set and reliable performance. Hubify, on the other hand, while offering a seemingly diverse set of custom option types, suffers from an extremely low rating (1/5) based on a single review. This raises significant concerns about its usability, functionality, and overall value. Hubify's description highlights features such as text fields, color swatches, dropdowns, and date pickers, offering the potential for highly tailored product configurations. However, the lack of positive user feedback casts doubt on the actual implementation and effectiveness of these features. Avis' specific feature set is unknown from the provided data, but its superior rating and review volume imply a more refined and user-friendly approach to product customization. Therefore, while Hubify claims to offer an array of customizable product options, its incredibly poor rating suggests potential problems with its implementation or reliability.

Our Verdict
Based on the available data, Avis Product Options, Variants is the clear choice for the vast majority of Shopify merchants. Its overwhelmingly positive rating and substantial review count inspire confidence in its reliability and usability. Merchants seeking a proven and trusted solution for product customization should strongly consider Avis.
Hubify Product Custom Options, with its abysmal rating and single review, presents a significant risk. While its advertised feature set may appear appealing, the lack of positive user feedback suggests potential issues with its implementation and overall quality. Unless a merchant is willing to experiment with an unproven app and potentially encounter significant challenges, it is difficult to recommend Hubify. Only merchants with very specific and unusual customization needs, and a willingness to troubleshoot extensively, might consider Hubify after VERY careful consideration and testing.
