Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants in 2026, the choice depends on their specific needs. If the primary goal is to offer extensive customization options with a strong visual component and interactive shopping experience, Live Preview Options by Webyze is the clear choice, despite the lower review count. The live preview, conditional logic, and price increase features based on selections are invaluable for complex product personalization.
However, if the merchant's focus is on robust variant management and a proven, highly-rated solution with a large user base, Avis Product Options, Variants is a safer bet. While it lacks explicit mention of a live preview, the overwhelmingly positive reviews suggest a reliable and feature-rich system for handling standard product options. Ultimately, merchants should assess the importance of real-time visual customization versus the perceived risk associated with a newer app with fewer reviews.
