Avis Product Options, Variants vs Product Options ‑ Pasilobusfor Shopify (2026)
Avis Product Options, Variants and Product Options ‑ Pasilobus both target Shopify merchants seeking to enhance their product offerings with custom options and variants. Avis, with a perfect 5/5 rating based on a substantial 1366 reviews, positions itself as a reliable and well-regarded solution within the Shopify ecosystem. Product Options ‑ Pasilobus, on the other hand, while promising 'infinite product options and unlimited customization', lacks any user reviews, making its reliability and user-friendliness uncertain. Pasilobus focuses on extensive customization, including unlimited fields for text, dropdowns, file uploads, and color swatches, along with the ability to add extra fees based on custom product options, targeting merchants selling highly customizable products. Avis, despite lacking detailed description, is generally suitable for the broader range of merchants looking for product variant solutions, given its positive reputation. Our Verdict
For most Shopify merchants in 2026, Avis Product Options, Variants is the safer and more reliable choice due to its overwhelmingly positive user feedback. The high number of reviews and perfect rating suggest a mature and well-functioning application. Product Options ‑ Pasilobus, while promising extensive customization and upselling potential, is too risky to recommend without any user reviews to validate its claims and usability.
However, for merchants specifically requiring extremely granular control over product options, and are willing to take a risk on an unproven app, Product Options ‑ Pasilobus might be worth exploring. Thorough testing in a development environment is highly recommended before deploying it on a live store. If user feedback starts to accumulate and validates its feature set and ease of use, its potential as a valuable tool will increase.
