Avis Product Options, Variants vs Textbox & Textfield by Textifyfor Shopify (2026)
Avis Product Options, Variants and Textbox & Textfield by Textify both address the need for customization on Shopify product pages, but they cater to different aspects of that need. Avis, boasting a perfect 5-star rating with significantly more reviews (1366), likely offers a comprehensive solution for creating various product variants and options. This suggests a broader feature set that might encompass more than just text input. Textbox & Textfield by Textify, while slightly lower rated at 4.9 stars with only 93 reviews, focuses squarely on enabling customers to provide specific textual input and notes, making it ideal for personalization and gathering order-specific details. The core difference lies in their scope: Avis seems geared towards building complex product configurations with numerous variants, while Textbox & Textfield is designed to capture supplemental information via text fields. Therefore, a merchant primarily concerned with extensive product customization involving choices beyond just text would likely lean towards Avis. Conversely, a merchant focused on allowing personalized notes, engraving requests, or specific instructions from customers might find Textbox & Textfield more targeted to their needs. While both share the 'Custom products' and 'Product variants' categories, they approach customization from different angles.
