AW Store Locator vs Easyteam for Point of Salefor Shopify (2026)
AW Store Locator and Easyteam for Point of Sale are both 5-star rated Shopify apps, but they cater to fundamentally different needs within the 'Selling in person' category. AW Store Locator focuses on enhancing the customer experience by providing an intuitive way to find physical store locations. It's designed for merchants with multiple retail outlets or dealers, offering features like unlimited store locations, auto-detection, and customizable map styling. Its core value proposition is increased foot traffic by making it easier for customers to find nearby stores. Easyteam, on the other hand, is a staff management platform tailored for Shopify Point of Sale (POS) retailers. Its strength lies in streamlining internal operations, specifically scheduling, time tracking, commission management, and payroll. Easyteam aims to improve employee efficiency and reduce administrative overhead through features like POS integration, sales performance tracking, and retail-specific payroll options. While both apps share the 'Selling in person' category, their target audiences and functionalities rarely overlap. The key difference lies in the intended user: AW Store Locator is customer-facing, designed to improve the shopping experience by facilitating store discovery. Easyteam is internal, designed to optimize staff management within a POS retail environment.

Our Verdict
The choice between AW Store Locator and Easyteam heavily depends on the merchant's priorities. If the primary goal is to enhance the customer's ability to find physical store locations and drive foot traffic, AW Store Locator is the clear choice. Its location-based features and ease of customization make it ideal for businesses with multiple outlets or dealer networks.
However, for retailers primarily focused on optimizing internal operations, particularly staff management within a Shopify POS environment, Easyteam is the more suitable option. Its comprehensive features for scheduling, time tracking, and commission management streamline employee-related tasks and improve overall efficiency. A merchant likely wouldn't need both, unless they had VERY complex location and employee management needs.
