AW Store Locator vs ManilaTagfor Shopify (2026)
AW Store Locator and ManilaTag address vastly different needs for Shopify merchants. AW Store Locator focuses on enhancing the customer experience by facilitating in-person shopping. Its strength lies in helping customers locate physical stores and providing location-based services. It's ideal for merchants with multiple physical locations or dealers. ManilaTag, conversely, is an internal inventory management tool. It streamlines the process of tracking products within a warehouse or retail space using a mobile-based barcode scanner, replacing the need for dedicated external hardware. While both apps fall under the 'Selling in person' category, their functionalities are worlds apart. AW Store Locator is outward-facing, improving customer accessibility and discoverability. ManilaTag is inward-facing, optimizing operational efficiency in managing inventory. The crucial distinction lies in their target users: merchants aiming to enhance their online presence with a physical store finder versus merchants needing a streamlined inventory tracking system within their own operations. ManilaTag's promise of cloud-based accessibility for teams is a significant advantage for larger operations.

Our Verdict
For merchants with a brick-and-mortar presence and the goal of driving foot traffic, AW Store Locator is clearly the superior choice. Its positive reviews and features like automatic location detection contribute to a better customer experience. ManilaTag, while promising, lacks user reviews and caters to a very different need: internal inventory management.
If you're struggling to keep track of your inventory locations and want a mobile-first solution without the need for dedicated barcode scanners, ManilaTag is worth exploring, assuming future updates address the current lack of user feedback. However, given its current state, AW Store Locator presents a less risky and more established option for its intended purpose.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
AW Store Locator is likely easier to set up initially, based on its description emphasizing easy customization and map integration. ManilaTag's setup depends on how well it integrates with existing Shopify product data and the ease of bin creation.
Which app provides a better ROI for a merchant with 5 physical stores?
AW Store Locator likely provides a better ROI for a merchant with 5 physical stores by driving more customers to those stores and improving sales. ManilaTag's ROI depends on the inefficiencies in their current inventory system and whether the app can significantly reduce those costs.
Can I use both apps together?
Potentially, but they address different needs. AW Store Locator enhances the customer-facing experience of finding your stores. ManilaTag optimizes internal inventory management. Using both depends on whether the merchant needs both store locator functionality and improved inventory tracking.
How does the lack of reviews impact my decision when choosing between the apps?
