AW Store Locator vs Measura: Sell by Weight & Morefor Shopify (2026)
AW Store Locator and Measura: Sell by Weight & More are both 5-star rated Shopify apps, but they cater to vastly different needs. AW Store Locator focuses on helping merchants with physical storefronts or dealer networks manage and display their locations effectively on their website. It boasts features like unlimited store locations, customizable map styles, and automatic location detection for customers. Measura, on the other hand, targets merchants who sell products by measurement (weight, length, area, or volume), offering fractional quantity sales and automated inventory adjustments, especially useful for businesses like grocery stores and fabric shops. The primary distinction lies in their core value proposition. AW Store Locator enhances the online-to-offline customer journey, guiding customers to physical stores. Measura streamlines the online and in-person (POS) selling process for products sold by measurement, ensuring accurate inventory management. The difference in review count (36 vs. 14) could reflect the broader applicability of a store locator app compared to the more niche functionality of selling by measurement. Both claim ease of use, with AW Store Locator highlighting its customizability and Measura emphasizing automated inventory adjustment.

Our Verdict
The choice between AW Store Locator and Measura: Sell by Weight & More depends entirely on the merchant's business model. If a merchant operates multiple physical stores or has a network of dealers and wants to drive online customers to those locations, AW Store Locator is the clear choice. Its focus on store location management and customizable map integrations makes it ideal for this purpose.
However, if a merchant sells products by measurement (weight, length, area, or volume), particularly if they offer fractional quantities, Measura is the superior option. Its automated inventory adjustment and support for online and POS sales make it a specialized and valuable tool for businesses like grocery stores, butcheries, and fabric stores. A merchant selling bulk food and needing to handle fractional weights will benefit much more from Measura than a store locator app.
Common Questions
Which app is better for a business with only one physical location?
Neither. AW Store Locator is designed for multiple locations or a dealer network. Measura is for businesses selling by measurement, regardless of location count. A single-location business not selling by measurement wouldn't benefit from either app.
Can both apps be used on the same Shopify store?
Potentially, but they serve completely different functions. A store selling fabric and also having multiple physical stores could theoretically use both. However, using both should only be considered if both sets of functionalities are needed.
Does AW Store Locator provide analytics on store visits?
The provided description doesn't mention analytics. You would need to consult the app's documentation or contact the developer to confirm if it provides analytics capabilities.
Does Measura integrate with other inventory management systems?
The description mentions a 'built-in inventory management feature', implying that it may not directly integrate with external systems. Further investigation would be needed to determine its integration capabilities.
Are both apps compatible with all Shopify themes?
The description for AW Store Locator highlights ease of customization for any page, suggesting broad compatibility. However, compatibility with all themes isn't explicitly guaranteed for either app. It's always best practice to test the app thoroughly with your specific theme.
