AW Store Locator vs Point of Salefor Shopify (2026)
AW Store Locator and Point of Sale, while sharing the 'Selling in person' Shopify category, serve drastically different purposes. AW Store Locator focuses solely on enhancing the customer experience by providing an interactive store locator for businesses with multiple physical locations. Its strength lies in its customizable map interface and auto-detection of customer location, enabling easy discovery of nearby stores. The low review count, despite the perfect rating, may warrant further investigation. Point of Sale, on the other hand, is a comprehensive solution for managing in-person sales, unifying online and retail operations. It encompasses features like customer management, inventory tracking, payment processing, and omnichannel capabilities.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with guiding customers to their physical locations and managing a network of dealers, AW Store Locator seems the more suitable choice. Its focus on map customization and location detection directly addresses this need. However, the low review count should prompt caution and further research. Point of Sale is a robust platform for businesses actively managing in-person sales alongside their online store. The lower rating suggests potential usability issues or unmet expectations, but the significantly higher review count indicates wider adoption and more user feedback to consider. Merchants seeking a comprehensive solution to manage all aspects of their retail and online sales should lean towards Point of Sale, while carefully reviewing user feedback to understand its limitations.
