AW Store Locator vs POWR: Store Locator Mapfor Shopify (2026)
AW Store Locator and POWR: Store Locator Map both address the need for Shopify merchants to showcase their physical locations. AW Store Locator emphasizes simplicity and customization, targeting merchants with existing dealer networks or a need for basic store location functionality. Its focus is on easy integration and visual customization within the Shopify store. In contrast, POWR: Store Locator Map leans towards providing a more robust and feature-rich experience, especially appealing to merchants needing to manage a larger number of locations or prioritizing advanced search and direction features. The Google Sheets integration highlights a focus on scalability and efficient bulk location management. POWR also has a more defined focus on driving foot traffic. While AW Store Locator touts 'unlimited store locations' and 'most customized app', the small number of reviews (36) suggests it may be a newer or less widely adopted solution. POWR, with its higher review count (64) and slightly lower rating (4.8/5), suggests broader usage and a balance of features and user experience. Ultimately, the better choice depends on the merchant's technical expertise, scale of operations, and specific requirements for store locator functionality. Consider the value of a higher review count as more information points that the app works as designed.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a straightforward and highly customizable store locator with basic features and an emphasis on visual integration, AW Store Locator is a viable option, particularly if they have a smaller number of locations and prioritize design flexibility. However, the smaller review count warrants caution.
For merchants managing a larger number of locations, requiring advanced search capabilities, needing to import locations in bulk using Google Sheets, and wanting a more robust feature set including directions, POWR: Store Locator Map is the stronger choice. While its customization options may be less extensive than AW Store Locator, its focus on scalability and user experience provides a more comprehensive solution for driving foot traffic.
