AW Store Locator and SKU Manager | Fontaine, while both listed under the 'Selling in person' category on Shopify, address vastly different needs for merchants. AW Store Locator focuses on enhancing the customer experience by providing a user-friendly way to find physical store locations. Our Verdict
For merchants with multiple physical locations or dealer networks who want to drive online traffic to their stores, AW Store Locator is the clear choice. Its focus on customer experience and store discovery features make it a valuable tool for bridging the online-offline gap. The customization options and auto-detect location feature enhance the usability for customers. On the other hand, for businesses that struggle with managing a large number of products and require efficient SKU and barcode generation, formatting, and duplicate checking, SKU Manager | Fontaine is the better option. Its automation capabilities save time and reduce errors in inventory management. Given the significant difference in review count and their distinct functionalities, AW Store Locator currently has a stronger indication of established use and value within its specific niche.
For a new Shopify store just starting out with a small catalog and no physical locations, neither app would likely be essential initially. However, as the business grows, SKU Manager | Fontaine becomes vital for organized inventory, whereas AW Store Locator only becomes relevant upon establishing physical storefronts.
