Our Verdict
AW Store Locator, with its existing positive reviews and emphasis on customization, may be a better initial choice for smaller merchants or those with limited technical resources who need a basic and quickly implemented store locator. The lack of ratings and reviews for Snap Locator introduces risk, however, if a merchant requires Google Maps & Mapbox integration, bulk import via CSV, and the ability to display rich store details (photos, products), they should investigate Snap Locator, despite the lack of current social proof. Merchants with a focus on displaying products within store locations will find Snap Locator preferable assuming it performs as described.
Common Questions
Which app offers a more advanced search experience?
Snap Locator offers a 'Smart Search' functionality, which implies a more robust and intelligent search capability compared to AW Store Locator's 'Auto Detect Location,' which may be limited to simply identifying the user's current location.
Which app is easier to customize?
AW Store Locator is described as 'Most Customized App', giving the merchant more freedom for tailored designs. Snap Locator emphasizes an 'Easy-to-use Admin,' suggesting a simpler, more streamlined customization process, but potentially with less design flexibility.
Which app is better for merchants with a large number of locations?
Both apps claim to support unlimited store locations. Snap Locator's 'Bulk import via CSV' feature and its integration with both Google Maps and Mapbox give it a slight edge for managing and visualizing large datasets of store locations. However, AW Store Locator also offers Import/Export features.
Which app provides more detailed store information?
Snap Locator explicitly states that it can display 'Hours, contacts, photos and products,' offering a richer store experience compared to the implicit details available through AW Store Locator, which doesn't specify similar capabilities.
Which app has better social proof?
AW Store Locator has a 5/5 rating based on 36 reviews. Snap Locator has a 0/5 rating based on 0 reviews, making AW Store Locator the only app with demonstrable positive feedback from users. Snap Locator needs to generate reviews to establish its credibility.
