AW Store Locator vs SoleRankfor Shopify (2026)
AW Store Locator and SoleRank, while both sharing the 'Selling in person' category on Shopify, cater to vastly different needs. AW Store Locator is focused on managing and displaying physical store locations, primarily for businesses with multiple physical locations or dealer networks. Its strength lies in its customization options, auto-detection of location, and unlimited store location support. Our Verdict
If your priority is driving foot traffic to physical stores by displaying locations and offering easy navigation for customers, AW Store Locator is the clear choice. Its focus on customization, auto-detection, and the ability to manage unlimited locations make it ideal for businesses with a strong brick-and-mortar presence. However, if you are a sneaker store owner heavily reliant on Google Performance Max ad campaigns and struggling with product visibility due to missing or inaccurate GTINs, SoleRank provides a more targeted solution. Its focus on enhancing product data for Google Merchant Center and automated product optimization can significantly improve your ROAS.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Without more information, it's hard to say definitively. AW Store Locator might require more initial setup to configure the map and add locations. SoleRank might be easier in terms of initial setup if you have a relatively small number of sneaker products that require optimization.
Does AW Store Locator help with online sales?
Indirectly. By driving customers to your physical stores, it can influence overall sales figures, including those that start online and end in-store.
Can SoleRank be used for products other than sneakers?
While the description focuses on sneakers and GTINs, the core principle of optimizing product data for Google Merchant Center could be applicable to other product categories. However, the app's specific features might not be relevant or effective outside of the sneaker market.
Which app has better long-term support?
Based on the review count, AW Store Locator has significantly more users, which could indicate a longer history and potentially more robust support. However, this isn't a guarantee.
Which app is more scalable for a large business?
AW Store Locator appears more scalable for businesses with numerous locations since it explicitly mentions 'Unlimited Store Location' support. SoleRank's scalability depends on how easily it can handle a large catalog of sneaker products for optimization.
