AW Store Locator vs SubZero Store Locatorfor Shopify (2026)
AW Store Locator and SubZero Store Locator are both Shopify apps designed to connect online customers with physical store locations, but they cater to different merchant needs and strengths. AW Store Locator emphasizes ease of customization and handling a high volume of store locations or dealers through import/export functionalities. Its focus lies on providing a flexible and easily integratable solution that allows merchants to quickly display store locations. SubZero Store Locator, on the other hand, is focused on SEO optimization and driving organic traffic to physical stores. It aims to provide automated local landing pages and intuitive search functionality to improve local search rankings. While AW Store Locator highlights its 'Most Customized App' feature and auto-detection of location, SubZero Store Locator positions itself as a tool to actively boost store visits through SEO. AW Store Locator seems suitable for merchants needing a basic, easily customizable store locator with unlimited locations. SubZero Store Locator is aimed at merchants needing to boost local SEO, and offers integrated map credits to minimize costs. However, SubZero Store Locator currently lacks user reviews, which is a significant drawback compared to AW Store Locator.

Our Verdict
If a merchant needs a quickly deployed, customizable store locator and prioritizes managing numerous locations easily, AW Store Locator is the better choice, especially considering its positive user reviews. Its 'Auto Detect Location' feature further simplifies the user experience. However, the lack of SEO features may be a disadvantage for merchants looking to increase organic traffic to their physical stores.
For merchants prioritizing enhanced visibility and organic traffic to physical stores, SubZero Store Locator's SEO-optimized landing pages are a major selling point. However, the lack of user reviews and reliance on the app developer's claims makes it a riskier choice. If a merchant is heavily focused on driving traffic through local search and willing to be an early adopter, SubZero Store Locator might be worth the risk. If user ratings remain at zero by 2026, AW Store Locator will be the recommended option due to its proven track record.
