B2B Request Quote & Hide Price vs Singleton | Advanced Discountsfor Shopify (2026)
B2B Request Quote & Hide Price and Singleton | Advanced Discounts are both Shopify apps impacting pricing, but they serve fundamentally different purposes. B2B Request Quote & Hide Price focuses on enabling B2B sales by allowing merchants to hide prices and accept quote requests from customers. Its strength lies in quote management, customization of emails related to quotes, and conditional display of quote buttons. It targets merchants selling to other businesses and requiring price negotiation or custom pricing. Singleton | Advanced Discounts, conversely, helps merchants create various types of discounts to incentivize purchases. Our Verdict
For merchants primarily engaged in B2B sales where custom pricing and negotiation are essential, B2B Request Quote & Hide Price is the more appropriate choice, *if* the developer can address its lack of ratings and reviews. The absence of social proof is a major risk. Its features for managing quotes and hiding prices cater specifically to this market. However, proceed with caution given the lack of reviews.
For the majority of Shopify stores aiming to boost sales through discounts and promotions, Singleton | Advanced Discounts is the safer and likely more effective option. Its positive reviews and focus on creating various discount types, including volume discounts and customer-specific offers, make it well-suited for driving conversions. The discount visibility features enhance the customer experience and encourage larger purchases. The existence of reviews gives a merchant more confidence in its efficacy.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the available data, it's impossible to definitively say which app is easier to set up. However, the positive reviews for Singleton | Advanced Discounts suggest a more user-friendly experience compared to B2B Request Quote & Hide Price, which currently has no reviews. Further investigation (e.g., contacting support, searching for tutorials) is recommended before choosing B2B Request Quote & Hide Price.
Can I use both apps together?
While technically possible, using both apps simultaneously could create a confusing user experience. Hiding prices and then offering discounts might not be intuitive for customers. It's best to choose the app that aligns with your primary pricing strategy.
Which app is better for wholesale customers?
Both apps *could* be used for wholesale. B2B Request Quote & Hide Price directly facilitates custom pricing which is common in wholesale. Singleton | Advanced Discounts allows for customer group-specific discounts, allowing you to offer wholesale specific discounts. If your wholesale strategy focuses heavily on individual price negotiations, B2B Request Quote & Hide Price is more suited. If you prefer a more structured discount system for wholesale, Singleton | Advanced Discounts is better.
What happens if I install B2B Request Quote & Hide Price and it doesn't work as expected?
Given the lack of reviews for B2B Request Quote & Hide Price, there's a higher risk of encountering issues. You would need to contact the app developer for support. You can also request a refund from Shopify within a certain timeframe, if the app doesn't provide the advertised functionality.
Which app is better if I want to run a limited-time promotion?
Singleton | Advanced Discounts is better suited for running limited-time promotions due to its features for setting date ranges for discounts and highlighting sales with countdown timers and discount icons.
