Our Verdict
If you're a B2B merchant or have a product offering that benefits from highly customized pre-loaded carts and granular tracking for personalized promotions, B2B Sections and tools could be a worthwhile option, *if* the developer demonstrates a commitment to user support and feature development (given the current lack of reviews). However, given the zero rating and no reviews, it's a risky choice. Gather: Refer a Friend is the clear winner if your goal is to activate your existing customer base for organic growth and lower acquisition costs. Its existing user base and positive reviews offer a much safer and more immediately valuable solution.
Ultimately, the choice depends on your marketing priorities. For direct, targeted sales, B2B Sections *could* address that need, but the lack of reviews makes it incredibly risky compared to Gather's established success. For fostering customer loyalty and expanding reach through word-of-mouth, Gather: Refer a Friend is the superior and safer option.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Based on the descriptions, Gather: Refer a Friend appears easier to set up due to its embedded dashboard and drag-and-drop editor. B2B Sections and tools likely requires more manual configuration of purchase links and campaign tracking.
Which app is better for increasing average order value?
B2B Sections and tools *could* potentially increase AOV through customized pre-loaded carts with higher quantities or premium product combinations, but this is theoretical due to the lack of reviews. Gather is less directly linked to AOV increases but fosters brand loyalty which indirectly can lead to higher lifetime value.
Which app offers better reporting?
B2B Sections and tools focuses on detailed permalink performance, tracking clicks, carts created, and orders. Gather: Refer a Friend focuses on referral tracking and program performance. The 'better' option depends on your specific reporting needs – direct sales vs. referral program metrics.
Can both apps be used together?
Yes, theoretically. A merchant could use Gather: Refer a Friend to acquire new customers and then use B2B Sections and tools to create personalized offers for those customers. However, without verified functionality of B2B Sections, it's hard to recommend using them together.
Which app is more likely to have ongoing development and support?
Gather: Refer a Friend, with its established user base and positive reviews, is much more likely to have ongoing development and support. B2B Sections and tools is a risk due to its zero reviews and unknown development status.
