B2B & Wholesale Solution vs Candid Wholesalefor Shopify (2026)
Both B2B & Wholesale Solution and Candid Wholesale cater to Shopify merchants looking to expand into the B2B space. However, they approach the problem from different angles. B2B & Wholesale Solution focuses on enabling B2B functionality *within* the Shopify store itself, offering features like custom pricing, bulk discounts, and wholesale customer registration directly on the existing platform. It essentially transforms a Shopify store into a hybrid B2C/B2B operation or a dedicated wholesale store. Candid Wholesale, on the other hand, aims to connect your Shopify store to the Candid wholesale marketplace. It focuses on streamlining wholesale operations *outside* of Shopify, primarily through product and inventory synchronization. The core strength of Candid lies in its CRM and ability to integrate with external tools like ShipStation and 3PLs, making it suitable for merchants looking to manage complex wholesale relationships and fulfillment processes outside of their Shopify storefront. The choice between them hinges on where a merchant wants to manage their wholesale business – within their Shopify store or through a dedicated external platform.

Our Verdict
If a merchant wants to expand their existing Shopify store to include B2B sales directly, then B2B & Wholesale Solution is likely the better choice. It provides the tools to create a tiered pricing structure, manage wholesale customers, and offer net payment terms – all within the familiar Shopify environment. This approach is ideal for businesses that prefer to control the entire customer journey from their own website.
However, if a merchant prefers to manage their wholesale operations separately, using a dedicated B2B platform and wants to sell through the Candid wholesale marketplace, then Candid Wholesale is the better option. It simplifies the process of syncing inventory and managing wholesale relationships outside of Shopify, especially when using tools like ShipStation and 3PLs. For merchants already established on Candid or looking to explore the platform, this app is essential.
Common Questions
Which app is better for offering payment terms to wholesale clients?
B2B & Wholesale Solution directly offers flexible net terms (Net 15, 30, 45, 60, 90) for B2B checkout. Candid Wholesale focuses more on inventory sync and doesn't explicitly mention direct payment term management on the Shopify store.
Which app provides better CRM capabilities for B2B customers?
Candid Wholesale explicitly lists an integrated CRM as a key feature. B2B & Wholesale Solution focuses more on customer registration and pricing management within Shopify, not offering a CRM as such.
How do these apps handle inventory synchronization?
B2B & Wholesale Solution manages inventory within the existing Shopify framework. Candid Wholesale syncs Shopify inventory with the Candid wholesale marketplace, meaning changes in one platform are reflected in the other. This off-site management differs in that inventory is tracked on Candid's platform.
Is either app useful for businesses *not* focused on wholesale?
Neither app is designed for businesses without a wholesale component. Both cater specifically to businesses selling to other businesses.
Which app is easier to set up for a Shopify store already selling B2C?
B2B & Wholesale Solution might be easier to integrate initially as it works directly within Shopify. However, both apps require a learning curve to implement their respective features effectively, with Candid potentially requiring more setup on the Candid platform itself.
