Our Verdict
For merchants seeking comprehensive Shopify data protection beyond just the theme, and requiring backups of products, orders, and other critical store data, Backup Labs is the clear choice. Its focus on full store backups and secure Swiss storage provide a more robust safety net. However, if the primary concern is managing theme changes, mitigating risks associated with app installations affecting the theme, and maintaining theme version control, then ThemeWatch - Theme Backup Tool is the better option. Its ability to track changes and restore individual theme assets provides more granular control and targeted protection.
