Our Verdict
For larger Shopify businesses needing SOC 2 compliance, comprehensive backups including metafields/metaobjects, and features like store duplication, BackupMaster: Backup & Copy is the better choice. Its unlimited cloud storage and enterprise-grade security provide the robustness required for complex operations. However, for smaller to medium-sized businesses seeking a straightforward, easy-to-use backup solution with a clear focus on change tracking and quick restore functionality, Talon Backups is the more suitable option. The lack of SOC 2 certification might be acceptable for businesses with less stringent security requirements, favoring simplicity and efficient data management.
