Banuba Virtual Try‑On vs Emmerced: 3D Store & AI Chatfor Shopify (2026)
Both Banuba Virtual Try‑On and Emmerced: 3D Store & AI Chat offer compelling solutions within the 3D/AR/VR space for Shopify merchants. However, their focus and target audiences differ significantly. Banuba Virtual Try-On specializes in providing a virtual try-on experience, specifically for makeup and eyewear, aiming to increase add-to-cart rates and reduce returns. Their value proposition centers around bridging the gap between online and offline shopping by offering realistic product previews and easy try-on functionality. On the other hand, Emmerced: 3D Store & AI Chat takes a broader approach by offering a 3D store experience coupled with AI-powered chat functionality. While the specific features of their 3D store implementation aren't detailed in the provided data, the inclusion of AI chat suggests a focus on enhancing customer engagement and support within that 3D environment. Therefore, Emmerced appears geared towards merchants seeking a more holistic 3D/AR/VR solution that encompasses both product presentation and customer interaction, rather than solely focusing on virtual try-on capabilities.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants selling makeup or eyewear, Banuba Virtual Try-On is the clear choice. Its focus on virtual try-on for these specific product categories, coupled with features like realistic product looks and support for diverse skin tones, directly addresses the challenges associated with online shopping for these items. The promise of increased add-to-cart rates and reduced returns further strengthens its value proposition.
However, if a merchant is looking for a broader 3D/AR/VR solution that goes beyond virtual try-on and incorporates an immersive 3D store experience with AI-powered customer support, Emmerced: 3D Store & AI Chat might be a better fit. While the specifics of their 3D store implementation are unclear from the limited data, the combination of 3D visualization and AI chat suggests a more holistic approach to enhancing the online shopping experience.
