Banuba Virtual Try‑On vs FitIQ ‑ Try it Onfor Shopify (2026)
Both Banuba Virtual Try‑On and FitIQ ‑ Try it On aim to improve online shopping experiences using AR/VR technology, specifically targeting the 3D/AR/VR category within the Shopify app ecosystem. Banuba Virtual Try-On explicitly focuses on makeup and eyewear, emphasizing increased add-to-cart rates and reduced returns through a lifelike virtual try-on experience. It highlights the ease of use, device compatibility, and realistic product looks, promising a shopping experience closer to physical stores. Banuba also features previewing products on different models and inclusivity with skin tones. FitIQ ‑ Try it On, on the other hand, lacks a detailed description beyond its name and category. While both apps share a perfect 5/5 rating, FitIQ has double the number of reviews (2) compared to Banuba (1), suggesting slightly broader initial adoption. Banuba's detailed description provides insights into its specific functionalities and target audience (makeup and eyewear merchants). The lack of specific feature details for FitIQ makes direct comparison challenging beyond the shared focus on virtual try-on. However, the names may suggest FitIQ handles apparel try-ons.

Our Verdict
Based on the available data, Banuba Virtual Try-On is the clear choice for merchants specifically selling makeup and eyewear. Its detailed description outlines specific features relevant to those product categories, such as AR cosmetics and glasses configuration, multi-model previews, and inclusive skin tone support. These features strongly suggest a specialized and tailored experience.
FitIQ ‑ Try it On, with its lack of detailed information, presents itself as a more general 'try-on' solution. While it's impossible to definitively state its capabilities without more information, its name hints at a broader applicability, potentially including apparel. Therefore, if you are selling clothing or other products beyond makeup and eyewear, FitIQ might be worth further investigation, although it lacks the specifics Banuba provides. It is recommended, however, to research current reviews and information beyond the app store description before making any decisions.
