Barcodify ‑ Customer Selector vs LC | Easy Account Creationfor Shopify (2026)
Barcodify - Customer Selector and LC | Easy Account Creation both target customer loyalty, but address completely different aspects of the customer lifecycle. Barcodify focuses on enhancing the *in-store* experience for merchants with existing loyalty programs. Its strength lies in streamlining customer identification at the point of sale using barcodes and mobile wallet passes, offering features like barcode synchronization, generation, and customization for Apple and Google Wallet. It aims to save time and improve the efficiency of checkout for loyal customers. LC | Easy Account Creation, on the other hand, focuses on *post-purchase* account creation. This app aims to reduce friction and increase account signup rates by allowing customers to create accounts either on the Thank You page for all merchants or during checkout for Shopify Plus users. It prioritizes growing customer data and fostering customer relationships after a purchase, by simplifying the registration process with password-only setup and optional DOB capture. Therefore, this app is valuable for online stores and merchants who are focused on maximizing the number of registered customers.

Our Verdict
The choice between Barcodify - Customer Selector and LC | Easy Account Creation depends heavily on the merchant's needs and business model. For brick-and-mortar stores with existing loyalty programs that want to improve checkout efficiency and customer identification, Barcodify is the clear choice. Its barcode scanning and mobile wallet integration offer tangible benefits for the in-store experience.
Conversely, for online stores focused on maximizing customer account creation and gathering more customer data, LC | Easy Account Creation is the superior option. The zero-redirect signup process addresses a common pain point and can significantly boost registration rates, particularly for Shopify Plus users who can leverage the checkout integration. If you don't have a physical store or use barcodes for loyalty programs, LC | Easy Account Creation is better.
