Barcodify ‑ Customer Selector vs Webkul Birthday Discountfor Shopify (2026)
Barcodify ‑ Customer Selector and Webkul Birthday Discount both aim to enhance customer loyalty, but they employ drastically different approaches. Webkul Birthday Discount focuses on building customer relationships by offering birthday discounts via email, appealing to merchants looking to personalize the shopping experience and foster brand loyalty through automated, personalized communication. Our Verdict
Barcodify ‑ Customer Selector is the clear choice for brick-and-mortar stores seeking to integrate loyalty programs directly into their POS system. The barcode scanning functionality offers a significant advantage in terms of speed and efficiency during transactions. Conversely, Webkul Birthday Discount is more suitable for online retailers looking to foster customer loyalty through personalized birthday promotions and email marketing campaigns.
The significant difference in ratings and reviews (5/5 with 5 reviews vs. 1/5 with 1 review) suggests Barcodify has, at least initially, received more positive feedback within its niche. While a small sample size means this is not definitive, it is a factor to consider. Webkul might be a better option for stores prioritizing automated personalized marketing, but should be approached with caution given the poor review. Barcodify appears to be the stronger app for its intended use case.
