Barcodify ‑ Customer Selector vs Wishlist ‑ Wishifyfor Shopify (2026)
Barcodify ‑ Customer Selector and Wishlist ‑ Wishify both aim to improve customer loyalty on Shopify, but they approach the task from completely different angles. Barcodify focuses on streamlining in-store customer identification and POS integration using barcodes and mobile wallet passes, primarily benefiting brick-and-mortar stores with loyalty programs. Wishlist - Wishify, on the other hand, enhances the online shopping experience by allowing customers to save and share favorite products, driving conversions and traffic to the store. The core difference lies in their target environments. Barcodify is geared towards physical retail locations where barcode scanning is practical. Its strengths lie in quickly identifying customers at the point of sale and facilitating efficient loyalty program management. Wishlist - Wishify is tailored for online stores, offering features that improve customer engagement and social sharing, which are essential for boosting online sales and expanding reach. Our Verdict
For merchants with a physical store presence and a loyalty program, Barcodify ‑ Customer Selector offers a tangible solution for streamlining in-person transactions and customer identification. The ability to quickly add customers to the POS via barcode scanning and the option to create mobile wallet passes are valuable assets. However, the low number of reviews should be considered. Wishlist ‑ Wishify is the better choice for online stores aiming to improve customer engagement, drive sales through wishlist sharing and reminder emails. Its higher review count suggests a more established and widely used app. Ultimately, the decision hinges on the merchant's primary sales channel and focus.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Based on the features, Wishlist - Wishify likely offers a simpler setup process with customizable buttons and fewer integration requirements. Barcodify, with its barcode synchronization and POS integration, might require more technical configuration.
Which app is better for increasing online sales?
Wishlist - Wishify is specifically designed to boost online sales through features like wishlist sharing, add-to-cart functionality, and automated email reminders. Barcodify's primary focus is on improving the in-store experience.
Can I use both apps together?
Potentially, but their functionalities are largely independent. A merchant with both a physical store and an online presence *could* use both, but it would require managing two separate customer loyalty initiatives.
Which app has more social proof?
Wishlist - Wishify has significantly more social proof due to its 212 reviews compared to Barcodify's 5 reviews. This suggests a larger user base and potentially more reliable performance.
Does Barcodify ‑ Customer Selector work for online sales?
While Barcodify's primary focus is in-store, the ability to distribute codes via a website *could* theoretically be used to identify customers making online purchases, but the app is not optimized for this use case.
