Basic Wishlist vs Froonze VIP Loyalty & Wishlistfor Shopify (2026)
Basic Wishlist and Froonze VIP Loyalty & Wishlist both cater to Shopify merchants looking to enhance the customer experience, but they target different needs and offer vastly different scopes. Basic Wishlist focuses solely on providing a simple wishlist functionality, aiming to improve conversion rates by allowing customers to save desired products for later purchase. Its key features revolve around adding a wishlist button to product pages, offering a fixed sidebar, and a product list popup. It seems positioned for merchants needing a very basic, low-feature implementation of wishlists. Froonze VIP Loyalty & Wishlist, on the other hand, is a much more comprehensive solution that combines loyalty programs, VIP tiers, referrals, and a wishlist feature into a unified customer account. It integrates with Shopify's native store credit system for cashback programs and boasts extensive customization options for widgets and email notifications. It also prioritizes ease of migration from other loyalty apps. Froonze is geared towards merchants looking for a fully integrated loyalty and wishlist solution to boost sales and enhance customer engagement, even offering more features that cost extra to enable.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants looking for a simple, no-frills wishlist functionality without needing extensive loyalty program features, Basic Wishlist might suffice if they are willing to overlook the low rating and very few reviews. However, the extremely low number of reviews (3) and low rating (2.7/5) should be a significant cause for concern.
In contrast, Froonze VIP Loyalty & Wishlist is the clear winner for merchants seeking a robust and comprehensive solution encompassing both wishlist and loyalty program functionalities. Its high rating and large number of reviews indicate a high level of user satisfaction. The rich feature set, customization options, and integrations make it a powerful tool for boosting sales and fostering customer loyalty. While potentially more complex to set up, the value proposition appears significantly stronger.
