Our Verdict
For merchants needing a basic wishlist feature without extensive customization or marketing integrations, Basic Wishlist might suffice. However, given the significantly lower rating and limited reviews, it presents a higher risk. Swish (formerly Wishlist King) appears to be the stronger choice for merchants willing to invest in a more feature-rich solution and seeking to leverage wishlist data for marketing and enhanced customer engagement. The high rating, numerous reviews, and included setup service provide a higher level of confidence.
If budget is a major constraint and only a very basic feature set is needed and the store is low traffic and willing to test, Basic Wishlist may be an option, but merchants should proceed with caution given the low rating and very few reviews. For most stores, Swish (formerly Wishlist King) is the recommended choice because of its comprehensive features and strong customer reviews, offering more potential for growth and improved customer experience.
