Basta vs Singleton | Advanced Discountsfor Shopify (2026)
Basta and Singleton | Advanced Discounts are both Shopify apps in the 'Pricing' category, but they serve vastly different purposes and target different merchant needs. Basta aims to introduce auction functionality directly into a Shopify store, potentially appealing to merchants with unique or limited-edition items. It emphasizes real-time bidding, customization, and automatic payment handling. Its current BETA status and lack of reviews, however, presents a significant risk for merchants needing immediate and reliable solutions. Singleton | Advanced Discounts, in contrast, focuses on providing a comprehensive suite of discount options to incentivize purchases. With a perfect 5/5 rating and 31 reviews, it demonstrates established reliability and user satisfaction. Its features center around creating various types of discounts, including volume discounts and B2B-specific offers, enhancing the customer experience and boosting sales through strategic pricing. The app's highlight on visibility within carts and checkout pages ensures customers are aware of available discounts. The crucial difference lies in their core function: Basta offers auctions, while Singleton | Advanced Discounts manages discounts. This distinction dictates their respective target audiences and the specific challenges each aims to solve.

It’s particularly suitable for businesses looking to implement volume discounts, B2B pricing, or general promotional offers.
