Bazaarvoice Reviews & Photos vs Commentify: Customer Commentsfor Shopify (2026)
Bazaarvoice Reviews & Photos and Commentify: Customer Comments are two Shopify apps that aim to improve customer engagement and social proof, but they approach the problem from different angles. Bazaarvoice positions itself as an enterprise-grade solution for collecting and amplifying ratings, reviews, and user-generated content (UGC) across multiple channels, including social media. Commentify, on the other hand, focuses on providing a simple and versatile comments block that integrates directly into a Shopify store, offering features like blog comments, product testimonials, and a community forum. The core difference lies in the scale and scope: Bazaarvoice emphasizes multi-channel content syndication and network effects, while Commentify prioritizes on-site customer interaction and feedback collection. Bazaarvoice, with its social scheduling tools, seems more suitable for larger merchants wanting to maximize their UGC across the internet. Commentify, with its nested comments and easy drag-n-drop placement, is great for stores looking to quickly integrate product feedback.

Our Verdict
Based on the available information, Commentify: Customer Comments appears to be the better choice for most Shopify merchants. Its higher rating and focus on simple, integrated feedback collection make it more accessible and practical for smaller businesses. The nested comment feature and moderation tools also point to a good experience. Bazaarvoice Reviews & Photos may be a viable option for larger businesses with the resources to manage a complex multi-channel content strategy. However, the significantly lower rating, despite an equal number of reviews, suggests potential usability or support issues that need careful consideration. Ultimately, merchants should assess their needs, resources, and technical expertise before making a decision, keeping the app ratings firmly in mind.
