Our Verdict
For merchants who prioritize building a strong base of user-generated content and managing it across various channels, Bazaarvoice Reviews & Photos may be a suitable option, assuming they are willing to invest the time and resources required to implement and manage it. However, the low rating should be considered a significant risk factor. On the other hand, if the main goal is to quickly and easily add social sharing capabilities to a store to increase brand visibility and drive traffic, TRANH ‑ Social Media Share bar is a more straightforward and potentially effective solution. Its higher rating and ease of use make it a more attractive option for smaller businesses or those with limited technical expertise. Given the considerable difference in ratings, a cautious approach towards Bazaarvoice would be advisable, perhaps exploring alternative UGC solutions before committing.
Given the low number of reviews for both apps, it's important to consider that the ratings may not be fully representative. However, the significant difference suggests a potential issue with Bazaarvoice, either in terms of functionality, customer support, or ease of integration. Further investigation and potentially trialing both apps (if possible) would be prudent before making a decision.
