Beacon Fraud Prevention vs Disputifier: Smart Chargebacksfor Shopify (2026)
Beacon Fraud Prevention and Disputifier: Smart Chargebacks both aim to help Shopify merchants combat fraud, but they approach the problem from different angles. Beacon focuses on *preventing* fraudulent orders *before* they happen by analyzing various data points and allowing merchants to customize fraud filters. It boasts features like analyzing risky behaviors, tracking various fraud types (credit card fraud, account takeovers, etc.), customizing the fraud system, automating order actions, and verifying risky customers. Disputifier, on the other hand, concentrates on *managing* chargebacks *after* they occur, although the specific features and functionalities provided are not detailed. The choice between these apps hinges on a merchant's primary need. Merchants proactive about preventing fraud and seeking customization options will likely prefer Beacon. Those primarily concerned with disputing and recovering from existing chargebacks might lean towards Disputifier (though more information would be needed). The relatively small number of reviews for both apps suggests they may cater to niche segments or be newer entrants in the market, so future performance may vary significantly.

Our Verdict
For merchants highly concerned with preventing fraudulent orders and having the ability to fine-tune their fraud detection system, Beacon Fraud Prevention appears to be the better choice. Its customizable system and automated actions provide greater control over fraud mitigation. This makes it a good fit for businesses operating in high-risk industries or those experiencing a significant volume of fraudulent activity.
However, if a merchant's primary concern is managing existing chargebacks and reclaiming lost revenue, Disputifier: Smart Chargebacks could be more suitable *assuming* it provides a robust chargeback dispute process. Without specific feature details for Disputifier, this recommendation is tentative. Merchants should investigate further into Disputifier's capabilities before making a decision.
