BEAST Currency Converter vs KILATECH Currency Converterfor Shopify (2026)
BEAST Currency Converter and KILATECH Currency Converter both aim to solve the problem of displaying prices in a customer's local currency on a Shopify store, thereby reducing cart abandonment. BEAST Currency Converter positions itself as an easy-to-use solution that works out-of-the-box with any theme. Its strength lies in its extensive user base, indicated by over 1100 reviews, suggesting wider adoption and a longer track record. It emphasizes automatic currency conversion based on customer location and automatic placement of the converter in the header. However, it openly acknowledges the limitations imposed by Shopify's checkout restrictions, providing workarounds such as cart page messages and hover-over original price displays. KILATECH Currency Converter, on the other hand, boasts a perfect 5/5 rating. While its number of reviews is significantly lower, suggesting it might be a newer or less widely adopted app, the perfect rating could indicate exceptional satisfaction among its existing user base. The description highlights automatic currency conversion and ease of use. A key difference is that BEAST Currency Converter specifically mentions automatic placement in the header and workarounds for checkout page limitations, which are not detailed within the KILATECH app description, meaning a merchant would have to do deeper discovery to understand if those key features also exist within the Kilatech app.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing a well-established and widely used currency converter with detailed information about its features, even its limitations regarding checkout page conversions, BEAST Currency Converter is likely the better choice. Its large user base and clear description of checkout workarounds offer transparency.
However, for merchants who place a high premium on near-perfect user satisfaction, indicated by a 5/5 rating, and are willing to investigate further whether KILATECH Currency Converter adequately addresses checkout limitations and offer all the features needed without explicit statements, KILATECH Currency Converter may be a strong contender, especially given the potentially faster support from a smaller user base.
