Our Verdict
For merchants who simply need to provide clear and accurate delivery estimates across various customer touchpoints, EDDer: Estimated Delivery Date is the obvious choice. Its comprehensive feature set for customizing delivery date calculations and its widespread display options make it a powerful tool for improving customer satisfaction and driving sales.
However, if a merchant needs highly specialized shipping logic beyond simple delivery date estimates – such as complex calculations, integrations, or custom shipping options beyond what EDDer provides – Bespoke Shipping *might* be a better fit, assuming its unspecified features cater to those complex requirements. A free trial or demo of Bespoke Shipping would be crucial to determine its specific capabilities and value.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Without detailed information on Bespoke Shipping, it's difficult to say definitively. However, EDDer's detailed description suggests a more feature-rich interface that might require a bit more initial setup, but ultimately provides more control over delivery date estimates. Bespoke Shipping, if simpler in scope, might be faster to initially configure.
Which app is better for increasing sales conversions?
EDDer is directly geared towards increasing sales conversions by addressing a common customer concern (delivery time) and fostering trust and urgency. Bespoke Shipping *could* indirectly increase conversions if its custom shipping solutions lead to faster or cheaper shipping options, but this is speculative.
Can both apps work together?
Potentially, but likely not optimally. If Bespoke Shipping handles the complex shipping logic and EDDer simply displays the resulting estimated delivery date, they could coexist. However, this would require careful coordination and might lead to conflicting information if both apps attempt to influence delivery date calculations.
Which app is better for international shipping?
EDDer explicitly supports different date displaying rules for specific countries, making it a more suitable choice for merchants with a significant international customer base who need to tailor delivery estimates based on location. Bespoke Shipping's international shipping capabilities are unknown.
Is Bespoke Shipping really better because it has 5 stars?
While a 5-star rating is impressive, it's essential to consider the context. The rating is based on 146 reviews, which is a reasonable sample size, but EDDer is close behind at 4.4/5 based on 130 reviews. The difference in value delivered depends on the specific needs of the merchant. The 5 star rating does give Bespoke Shipping a slight advantage in user perception, but the lack of information about its features makes it hard to compare feature for feature.
