Bespoke Shipping vs Purolatorfor Shopify (2026)
Bespoke Shipping and Purolator both aim to provide shipping rate solutions for Shopify merchants, but they differ significantly in their approach and user reception. Bespoke Shipping, with a perfect 5/5 rating based on a substantial 146 reviews, suggests a high degree of user satisfaction. It likely caters to merchants seeking a user-friendly experience and potentially more general shipping solutions. Purolator, on the other hand, has a significantly lower rating of 2/5 with only 4 reviews, indicating potential issues with user experience or reliability. Its focus seems geared towards businesses specifically looking to integrate their existing Purolator accounts directly into their Shopify store. Purolator, explicitly partnering with netParcel, emphasizes direct integration with their service, aiming to streamline shipping for businesses already using Purolator. Key features like 'Real time Rates' and 'eCommerce Centric' functionalities suggest an effort to optimize for online stores and automate processes like label creation and pickup scheduling. However, the low rating and small number of reviews raise concerns. Bespoke Shipping's lack of feature specifics makes direct functional comparison difficult, but the overwhelmingly positive reviews suggest a strong user experience and potentially broader compatibility or a more intuitive interface. It might be a more suitable option for merchants not already tied to the Purolator ecosystem.

Our Verdict
For most Shopify merchants in 2026, Bespoke Shipping appears to be the safer choice, given its overwhelmingly positive reviews and likely broader compatibility. The high rating and substantial number of reviews suggest a more reliable and user-friendly experience. Merchants seeking a general shipping rate solution or those new to e-commerce shipping would likely benefit most from Bespoke Shipping.
However, if a merchant is already heavily invested in Purolator's services and specifically requires direct integration with their existing Purolator account for Canadian deliveries, the Purolator app might be worth considering, despite the low rating. They should carefully evaluate the app's functionality and recent reviews (if any) before committing, and be prepared to potentially troubleshoot integration issues. A significant revamp of the Purolator app would be needed to compete effectively with Bespoke Shipping.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use?
Based on the reviews, Bespoke Shipping is likely significantly easier to use. The high rating suggests a positive user experience, while the low rating for Purolator raises concerns about its usability.
Which app is better for Canadian shipping?
While Bespoke Shipping may offer solutions for Canada, Purolator explicitly focuses on saving on delivery options to Canadian postal codes. If you ship predominantly within Canada and already use Purolator, the Purolator app *might* be advantageous, but the low rating warrants caution.
Which app offers more carrier options?
Based on the limited information available, it's difficult to say definitively. Bespoke Shipping likely supports multiple carriers, as its focus isn't carrier-specific. The Purolator app is primarily focused on Purolator services, although its partnership with netParcel *may* expand available carriers.
Should I trust the ratings of these apps?
Generally, yes, but consider the number of reviews. Bespoke Shipping's 146 reviews provide a more reliable indication of user satisfaction than Purolator's 4 reviews. The Purolator app's rating could be skewed by a few particularly negative experiences or could simply reflect a lack of user feedback.
Does the 'eCommerce Centric' feature of Purolator make it better for online stores?
Not necessarily. While the 'eCommerce Centric' features like order import and label creation are beneficial, the low rating suggests potential issues with their implementation or overall usability. Bespoke Shipping might offer similar functionalities or a more seamless integration with e-commerce workflows, despite not explicitly stating it.
