Bespoke Shipping vs Zapiet ‑ Rates by Distancefor Shopify (2026)
Bespoke Shipping and Zapiet ‑ Rates by Distance both aim to solve Shopify merchants' shipping rate challenges, but they approach it with distinct strategies. Bespoke Shipping, with a perfect 5-star rating and 146 reviews, suggests a strong track record of user satisfaction and potentially covers a broader range of shipping rate customization options. Its high rating indicates that it addresses common shipping needs effectively. In contrast, Zapiet ‑ Rates by Distance specifically targets merchants struggling with inaccurate rates based on distance to the customer's location, offering a solution that calculates rates dynamically. With a 0/5 rating and 62 reviews, Zapiet-Rates by Distance is either a brand new app that hasn't received reviews yet or one that has had significant challenges with user experience. The key differentiator lies in the method of calculation. Bespoke Shipping likely offers broad shipping rate customization, while Zapiet ‑ Rates by Distance concentrates on distance-based calculations. Zapiet focuses on reducing cart abandonment by building buyer confidence with accurate, location-based shipping costs. It also incorporates multilingual support, multiple rate options based on weight/price, and distance limitations. The choice depends on whether a merchant needs generalized rate customization or distance-specific accuracy. Assuming the poor rating is due to the app being new, it will ultimately depend on the quality of support that Zapiet provides for their customers.

Our Verdict
Given Bespoke Shipping's perfect rating and substantial review count, it is the safer choice for most merchants in 2026, assuming it continues to maintain a positive reputation. Its general appeal suggests a user-friendly and effective solution for common shipping challenges. However, if a merchant's *primary* concern is accurate, distance-based shipping rates and they are willing to take a risk on a newer app, Zapiet ‑ Rates by Distance could be valuable, provided the poor or lack of reviews doesn't point to ongoing bugs or poor customer service. Thorough testing of Zapiet-Rates by Distance is vital before full deployment. Therefore, Bespoke Shipping is generally recommended, but Zapiet could be a fit for niche use cases if thoroughly vetted.
