BestChat: AI Chatbot+Live Chat and Promer AI Ads Creative Creator are both Shopify apps listed in the 'Marketing - Other' category, but they address vastly different needs for Shopify merchants. BestChat aims to improve customer service and sales through AI-powered live chat and chatbot solutions, offering 24/7 support and seamless Shopify integration. Its key strength lies in automating customer interactions and freeing up support agents for more complex issues. Promer, on the other hand, focuses on enhancing advertising efforts by generating high-performing ad creatives for various platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Google, and TikTok. The primary difference lies in their core functionality: BestChat concentrates on customer support and engagement, while Promer centers around ad creation and optimization. BestChat's target audience includes merchants looking to improve customer satisfaction and reduce support costs through automation. In contrast, Promer is geared towards merchants actively running paid ad campaigns and seeking to improve their ad performance without extensive reliance on designers or general-purpose design tools. Our Verdict
For merchants struggling with customer support volume and seeking to automate routine inquiries, BestChat might seem appealing. However, the extremely low rating (0/5) and substantial review count (145) should raise serious concerns. Thoroughly investigate the reasons behind the negative reviews before considering this app. Promer AI Ads Creative Creator, with its perfect 5/5 rating, seems like a better choice for merchants primarily focused on improving their ad performance and scaling their advertising efforts. The limited number of reviews (6) suggests it's a newer app or caters to a smaller niche, but the perfect score indicates strong initial satisfaction. For most merchants, Promer appears to be the safer and more promising option at this stage.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the descriptions, Promer appears to be easier to use, focusing on quick ad creative generation. BestChat, with its AI learning and chatbot customization, might require more initial setup and ongoing management.
Which app is more likely to improve customer satisfaction?
BestChat is designed to improve customer satisfaction through 24/7 support. However, its 0/5 rating suggests it may not be delivering on that promise. Promer doesn't directly impact customer satisfaction but can lead to more relevant ads and, potentially, a better shopping experience.
Which app is more suitable for dropshipping businesses?
Promer explicitly mentions being built for dropshipping sellers, suggesting a better fit for that business model. BestChat's focus on general customer support makes it applicable to a broader range of eCommerce stores.
Does BestChat learn and adapt over time?
Yes, BestChat claims that its AI chatbots learn products and orders over time, making them smarter. However, the low rating brings the quality and reliability of this claim into question.
Which app is a better investment?
At this point, Promer seems like the better investment due to its perfect rating and specific focus on improving ad performance. The extremely poor rating of BestChat indicates a significant risk. Perform further research before making a final decision.
