BeSure Checkout Rules vs Buy Button channelfor Shopify (2026)
BeSure Checkout Rules and Buy Button channel, while both listed under the 'Checkout' and 'Cart customization' Shopify categories, address fundamentally different needs. BeSure Checkout Rules focuses on optimizing the existing Shopify checkout process by allowing merchants to customize and control the checkout experience. This includes reordering or hiding shipping and payment methods based on specific conditions, setting default options, and blocking certain types of orders. Conversely, Buy Button channel extends Shopify's reach beyond the storefront by enabling merchants to embed 'Buy' buttons and checkout links on external websites, blogs, and social media, offering a direct path to purchase from diverse online locations. The primary difference lies in their approach to sales. BeSure Checkout Rules focuses on improving conversion rates within the existing Shopify checkout flow, catering to merchants looking to enhance the on-site customer experience. Buy Button channel, on the other hand, aims to expand sales channels and reach new customers by embedding checkout options directly onto external platforms. While BeSure targets operational efficiency and checkout optimization, Buy Button focuses on expanding reach and creating immediate purchase opportunities outside the Shopify store itself.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with optimizing their existing Shopify checkout process by providing a smoother, more tailored experience for their customers, BeSure Checkout Rules is the superior choice. Its highly-rated customizable rules engine allows for fine-grained control over the checkout flow. Buy Button channel, however, is ideal for merchants seeking to expand their sales channels beyond their Shopify storefront. If your strategy includes selling directly on external websites, blogs, or social media platforms, its easy integration and ability to create direct checkout links make it the more suitable option. The lower rating of Buy Button channel suggests that while useful, some users may have found limitations in its feature set or ease of use compared to BeSure's more focused utility and customer satisfaction ratings.
