BeSure Checkout Rules vs Today's Project: Buy Buttonfor Shopify (2026)
BeSure Checkout Rules and Today's Project: Buy Button address distinct aspects of cart and checkout optimization. BeSure Checkout Rules focuses on customizing and streamlining the *checkout* process itself, offering granular control over shipping and payment methods based on various conditions. This app is designed for merchants who need advanced control over their checkout flow to optimize conversions and customer experience by reducing friction and catering to specific purchase scenarios. Today's Project: Buy Button, on the other hand, concentrates on facilitating faster *product page* purchases by adding a sticky 'add to cart' buy bar. Its aim is to improve the initial purchasing decision and simplify adding items to the cart. The primary difference lies in their scope. BeSure tackles the intricacies of the checkout page, adapting it based on multiple parameters. Today's Project is more about simplifying the add-to-cart process directly from the product page, and enabling quick checkout options. Merchants seeking to finely tune the complexities of their post-add-to-cart purchase path will find BeSure more suitable, while those looking to encourage immediate purchases directly from product pages through a simplified buy button and one-click checkout will gravitate towards Today's Project.

Our Verdict
For merchants struggling with a complex checkout process and needing granular control over shipping and payment options based on various conditions (e.g., product type, customer location, cart total), BeSure Checkout Rules is the clear winner. Its extensive customization capabilities can significantly improve conversion rates by optimizing the checkout experience for different customer segments and scenarios.
However, if the primary goal is to encourage more immediate purchases and simplify adding items to the cart directly from product pages, Today's Project: Buy Button provides a simpler, more direct solution. Its sticky buy bar and one-click checkout functionality can be particularly effective for impulse purchases or for mobile users where a streamlined process is crucial. Given the limited reviews, merchants should carefully evaluate Today's Project: Buy Button's functionality and support before committing.
