BeSure Checkout Rules vs ZIP Lock ‑ Restrict ZIP Codesfor Shopify (2026)
BeSure Checkout Rules and ZIP Lock - Restrict ZIP Codes both aim to improve the Shopify checkout experience, but cater to distinct merchant needs. BeSure Checkout Rules is a comprehensive checkout customization tool focused on optimizing conversions by manipulating shipping and payment options based on various conditions. It targets merchants seeking granular control over the checkout flow to enhance customer experience and boost sales. ZIP Lock - Restrict ZIP Codes, on the other hand, provides a focused solution for merchants needing to restrict product availability based on customer location, preventing invalid orders due to shipping limitations or legal restrictions. The primary difference lies in their scope. BeSure Checkout Rules offers a broad range of customization options, from reordering elements to applying discounts, making it suitable for general checkout optimization. ZIP Lock concentrates solely on geographic restrictions, enabling merchants to control product availability based on ZIP codes or states. While both apps share the 'Checkout - Other' category, their functionalities address different pain points: optimizing vs. restricting. The significant difference in review count (165 vs. 2) suggests BeSure Checkout Rules has wider adoption and a longer track record, though both boast perfect ratings.

This is particularly useful for merchants dealing with products subject to local regulations, or those unable to ship to specific areas.
