Better Blog Comments vs TrustKit: Trust Badges & Iconsfor Shopify (2026)
Better Blog Comments and TrustKit: Trust Badges & Icons both aim to increase customer trust on Shopify stores, but approach this goal through very different mechanisms. Our Verdict
For stores with actively managed blogs that are integral to their marketing and customer engagement strategies, Better Blog Comments offers a compelling way to build a community and foster loyalty, ultimately potentially driving sales. The app's features, such as threaded replies and spam protection, are specifically designed to create a positive and engaging comment section. However, it will need more reviews over time to create statistical confidence. TrustKit: Trust Badges & Icons is the better choice for stores that want a quick and easy solution to boost customer confidence during the purchase process. Its focus on visual trust cues, like security badges and payment icons, can help reduce cart abandonment and improve conversion rates for any type of store regardless of blog presence.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
TrustKit is likely easier to set up as it focuses on adding trust badges and requires no coding. Better Blog Comments requires managing the blog comments section.
Which app provides better long-term value?
Better Blog Comments may provide better long-term value for stores committed to building a community around their blog. TrustKit provides immediate but potentially less sustainable value through improved conversion rates.
Is spam protection important for both apps?
Spam protection is only relevant for Better Blog Comments, as TrustKit does not involve user-generated content or comments.
Does TrustKit improve SEO?
TrustKit primarily focuses on improving customer trust and conversion rates, not SEO directly, though increased sales and dwell time from higher trust can have an indirect SEO benefit.
How can I decide if Better Blog Comments is right for me?
Evaluate the volume and engagement of your existing blog comments. If your blog generates significant interest and you want to foster a community, Better Blog Comments could be a good investment. If you don't have a blog or get few comments, it is probably not for you.
