Better Bounce by BBA vs BST‑Frequently Bought Togetherfor Shopify (2026)
Better Bounce by BBA and BST-Frequently Bought Together both aim to increase revenue through upselling and cross-selling, but they employ drastically different strategies. Better Bounce focuses on recovering potentially lost sales by presenting AI-powered product recommendations to visitors who are actively leaving the site for external links. It targets exit intent, aiming to re-engage users on their way out. In contrast, BST-Frequently Bought Together concentrates on increasing average order value by recommending related products to customers already browsing or about to make a purchase. It uses AI to build product bundles, often incentivized with discounts, and integrates seamlessly with the store's theme to match its branding. The critical difference lies in the point of intervention. Better Bounce aims to win back lost visitors on the brink of leaving, while BST-Frequently Bought Together seeks to enhance the shopping experience and increase order value during an active browsing session. The former targets users who are almost certainly not going to buy anything while the latter enhances purchases for existing customers. Furthermore, the lack of reviews and a 0/5 rating for Better Bounce versus 61 reviews and a 5/5 rating for BST-Frequently Bought Together indicate a vastly different level of user confidence and reliability in 2026.

Our Verdict
BST-Frequently Bought Together appears to be the more reliable and user-trusted option as of 2026, based on its perfect rating and substantial number of reviews. It’s ideal for merchants looking to actively increase order values with proven upselling and cross-selling techniques within the existing shopping experience.
Better Bounce, despite its innovative approach to capturing exit intent, carries considerable risk due to the absence of reviews and zero rating. While its concept of re-engaging leaving visitors is promising, merchants should proceed with caution and be prepared to potentially encounter issues or a lack of support. It might be suitable for stores willing to take a chance on an unproven app with a unique value proposition, but only if extensive testing and monitoring are in place.
