Better Bounce by BBA vs EcomRise: Upsell & Bundlesfor Shopify (2026)
Better Bounce by BBA and EcomRise: Upsell & Bundles both aim to increase sales for Shopify merchants, but their approaches differ significantly. Better Bounce focuses on recovering potentially lost sales by presenting AI-powered product recommendations to visitors who are about to leave the store for external websites. Its key selling point is intelligent back-button detection and personalized recommendations, aiming for a non-intrusive recovery method. In contrast, EcomRise offers a suite of features designed to boost sales through upselling, cross-selling, volume discounts, and various attention-grabbing elements like sales notifications, trust badges, and even decorative animations. The primary difference lies in their target audience and core functionality. Better Bounce caters to merchants concerned about losing customers who navigate away from their site and want a targeted recovery solution. EcomRise, on the other hand, appeals to merchants seeking a broader toolkit for sales optimization and engagement, encompassing various tactics from upselling and discounts to social proof and website enhancement features. While both fall under the 'Upsell and bundles - Other' category, their execution and individual features address different facets of improving a store's conversion rate and customer experience.

Our Verdict
EcomRise: Upsell & Bundles is the safer bet for most merchants in 2026, given its established positive reputation and a wide range of sales-boosting features. The significant number of positive reviews suggests a reliable and effective app. Merchants looking for a comprehensive solution covering upselling, cross-selling, social proof, and website enhancements will find EcomRise more appealing.
However, Better Bounce by BBA offers a potentially valuable niche solution for merchants specifically struggling with high exit rates to external sites. If a merchant has data indicating a significant loss of customers clicking the back button, Better Bounce's AI-powered product recommendations could be worth exploring, assuming they are early adopters or willing to take a risk on a new app with no reviews.
