Better Bounce by BBA vs WAX: marketing on WhatsAppfor Shopify (2026)
Better Bounce by BBA and WAX: marketing on WhatsApp offer vastly different approaches to enhancing a Shopify merchant's business. Better Bounce focuses on capturing potentially lost sales by presenting AI-driven product recommendations when a visitor attempts to leave the store for an external site. Its strength lies in its non-intrusive method of re-engaging customers at the point of exit, leveraging AI to personalize recommendations. The target audience is Shopify store owners seeking a passive method to recover sales without actively engaging in direct marketing or data collection beyond session information. WAX, on the other hand, is a proactive WhatsApp marketing platform designed for conversational marketing. Its core value proposition revolves around improving sales and customer experience by using WhatsApp to drive marketing campaigns and automated flows, all while maintaining GDPR compliance. WAX targets merchants looking for a high-engagement channel for customer interaction, offering features like abandoned cart recovery, back-in-stock alerts, and post-purchase flows. The differentiating factor is the active engagement with customers through WhatsApp, utilizing its high open and response rates to boost revenue. Unlike Better Bounce, WAX requires active management and a willingness to engage directly with customers through a messaging platform.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants prioritizing a hands-off approach to sales recovery and concerned about data privacy, Better Bounce by BBA *could* be an option if it gains traction and positive reviews in the future. The lack of reviews currently makes it difficult to assess its reliability and effectiveness. It appeals to those wanting to capture lost sales automatically without actively engaging with customers.
However, WAX: marketing on WhatsApp is the stronger recommendation at this time due to its established user base and positive ratings. It's best suited for merchants willing to actively engage with customers via WhatsApp to improve sales, retention, and overall customer experience. The detailed marketing campaign and automation features are ideal for businesses seeking to leverage conversational marketing for higher conversion rates and customer loyalty.
